Description
Unique piece, handmade in Normandy (France).
Handcrafted knife whose Norman birch handle was pyrographed by hand lifted by me with reindeer petroglyph and whose blade, in Swedish steel with high corrosion resistance and coming from a steelworks making efforts at the level environmental and research, forged by my partner, Benjamin ALBRYCHT from La Forge d’Asgeir.
It is a knife which will be very useful to you, as well in walk for your wild pickings, in picnic, at table, in kitchen … On the blank, the blade is rough from forge. This one measures 7 cm long by 2 cm wide and 2 mm thick. The handle measures approximately 9 cm, for a total length of approximately 16 cm.
Made with « four hands » for many hours, in Normandy in our workshop.
All the materials used are as eco-friendlies as possible and the wood is treated naturally with a fungicide and a natural anti-pest (traditional mixture in Scandinavia of northern pine sap and plant distillates).
Care instructions: after washing, wipe your knife directly with a clean cloth. Do not let it soak in water, this steel is a carbon steel which oxidizes to humidity and must therefore be treated with care by oiling the blade when you want to store it for a long time in a drawer for example. To nourish the handle, you can use a natural oil such as linseed oil to apply with a soft cloth and to sharpen the blade you can use a natural water stone (you can buy these items if necessary on Benjamin’s ETSY website: https://www.etsy.com/fr/shop/AsgeirCraft).
