Unique piece, handmade in Normandy (France).
Table or kitchen knife, handcrafted, with forged damascus blade.
Birch burl handle (revalued wood), Lapland reindeer antlers (fell naturally and acquired in fair trade) and birch bark. Miter and pommel in chiseled solid bronze. Chiseled blade on the back (decoration), in artisanal damask made by a small steel factory in Japan and forged by Benjamin ALBRYCHT from the forge of Asgeir. The handle was engraved by fire by me, by hand, with fine vegetable arabesques.
DIMENSIONS: the blade measures 10.2 cm long by 2.3 cm wide and 2 mm thick. The handle measures approximately 11.2 cm.
Made with « four hands » for many hours, in Normandy in our workshop.
All the materials used are as eco-friendlies as possible and the wood is treated naturally with a fungicide and a natural anti-pest (traditional mixture in Scandinavia of northern pine sap and plant distillates) and a bio-resin. sourced.
Care instructions: after washing, wipe your knife directly with a clean cloth. Do not let it soak in water. To nourish the handle, you can use a natural oil such as linseed oil to apply with a soft cloth and to sharpen the blade you can use a natural water stone (you can buy these items if necessary on Benjamin’s ETSY website : https://www.etsy.com/fr/shop/AsgeirCraft). To clean the blade, you can use a little alcohol and rub gently.
