« Volutes » – Peigne en ronce de noyer sculptée et saphir éthique

Peigne d’ornement en bois précieux sculpté de ronce de noyer française de 400-500 ans environ (non issue de la déforestation, sèche depuis plus de 100 ans donc datée entre 1550 et 1650 environ). Incrustation centrale d’un saphir bleu taillé par un petit lapidaire anglais et extrait dans une petite mine artisanale à taille humaine au Sri Lanka, certifié éthique (fairtrade et fairmined). Au dos, une plaque d’étain minutieusement découpée et ajustée pour qu’on ne la voit pas de devant vient renforcer l’ensemble. Il est légèrement incurvé afin de suivre la courbe de la tête.

Dimensions (environ) :  longueur : 10.5 cm, largeur : 7.5 cm, épaisseur : 1 cm.

Poids : environ 90g, attention, il est assez « lourd » (du fait de la plaque d’étain) mais pour ma part, je l’ai testé toute une journée et je l’avais oublié !

Mode de fixation : faite un chignon serré près de la tête à l’aide de 4-6 épingles à cheveux piquées dans le chignon. Venir « planter » le peigne délicatement en écartant vos mèches de cheveux par le dessus du chignon au raz de votre tête. Refixer les épingles ou en ajouter si nécessaire afin que le peigne soit bien plaqué contre votre tête et bien tenu. Il ne doit pas pouvoir glisser de votre coiffure. Bien évidement, en portant ce genre d’objet d’ornement, il faut être précautionneux et ne pas prendre le risque de le faire tomber : ne pas courir avec, ne pas faire de sport, ne pas l’exposer à l’eau ou à l’humidité. Il sera idéal pour une journée de mariage ou tout autre événement « calme ».

Ornamental comb in precious wood carved from French walnut burl, around 400-500 years old (not from deforestation, dry for over 100 years, therefore dated between 1550 and 1650 approximately). Fixing method: make a tight bun near the head using 4-6 bobby pins stuck in the bun. Come « plant » the comb delicately by spreading your locks of hair through the top of the bun at the top of your head. Reattach the pins or add more if necessary so that the comb is well pressed against your head and well held. It should not be able to slip from your hairstyle. Obviously, by wearing this kind of ornamental object, you must be careful and not take the risk of dropping it: do not run with it, do not play sports, do not expose it to water or moisture. It will be ideal for a wedding day or any other « calm » event.
